Although I have been collecting model cars off and on for over 40 years, it has been only the last couple of years that I have had the time and patience to restore and modify the little critters.
I wanted to make models of cars I had actually owned over the years. I started by restoring a couple of beaters that I found at a market.
Most of the models to date have been painted using spray cans. I recently purchased an airbrush and I am gradually mastering the art of using it.
The main objective of this gallery is to show you what can be done with a little patience, imagination and time. Many of these models have been created in less than an hour. I find it very relaxing and satisfiying creating a nice looking model from a beater.
I hope this gallery encourages you to "give it a go".
DON'T FORGET - I need pics of YOUR restorations and re-inventions to start a new page called "Friends Restorations". Email your photos to me and include your name, location and a brief description of your restoration/re-invention. Remember to include a photo of how the model looked before you started work on it.
